Refining Crawfish Pattern Lures

Adding a touch of orange can be an effective way to refine your traditional brown crawfish patterns. In many lakes throughout the US, crawfish will take on slight color variations. This is primarily based on the abundance of various vitamins and minerals present within the fishery. Though these baseline colors are rarely as strong as during a molting phase, it may be worthwhile to turn over a few rocks and examine the color of crawfish native to your fishery before heading out! Pictured here is the NCB pattern "Fire Craw".
